The Washington Redskins will likely sign free agent WR Dezmin Lewis to a five-year contract, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Lewis was a free agent in March after a breakout season with the Kansas City Chiefs, who drafted him in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
He will count $1.9 million against the cap this season, per Spotrac.
Washington will need to shed some salary to get Lewis on the field, but the team has more cap space than the salary cap, which is projected to grow to $163.1 million this year.
The Redskins also have plenty of cap space, as they will have $13.1 billion in cap space in 2020.
