What to do if you have a back problem that requires a back surgery.1.
Put your arm under the collarbone, in a prone position.
This position prevents your back from moving too far under the body.2.
Wrap your arm in a towel or a towel-covered blanket and place it under the rib cage.3.
Lay your arm on the rib and bend your elbow toward your chest.4.
Pull your arm up as far as you can.5.
You can also place your elbow in a “bend over” position.6.
Keep your arm straight, but pull your arm out toward your body.7.
Repeat for additional reps.
If your back pain is severe, try placing your arm over your chest with the wrist on your shoulder.8.
Place your arm behind your head and squeeze it, pressing your ribs down into the ground.9.
Repeat, holding the position for as long as possible.10.
Repeat a couple of times, and then get a cast.
This is the most common way to avoid back pain.11.
If you can’t use a back brace to brace your back, a sling is your best bet.
You may want to also try a bandage.
