When your doctor prescribes an MRI, the next step is getting it done.
But how to do that when you’re dealing with your own body?
Here’s what you need read about it.
The orthopedist is one of the first people who might feel a sense of urgency when the MRI results come in.
“If they’re telling me, ‘I think you need an MRI to do this’, I’m going to have to be the first one to call,” says Dr. Paul McBride, chief of surgical oncology at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
So McBride and his team have come up with a simple solution: They put together a video campaign for their website.
They call it the ‘Dr. Oz’s MRI’ campaign.
And they’ve got the best way to get it out there, because it’s easy to follow: a few simple steps.
McBride’s team has been doing this for years, and has even put together videos for doctors’ offices and pharmacies to encourage them to get their patients the MRI.
They’ve even started using video for patients’ personal information.
“It’s kind of a perfect way to reach a patient who might have not had the option of going to a doctor,” McBride says.
The campaign has been working so well that McBride has been approached by several orthopedists in recent months to get them to put their videos online.
“We’ve got people who have never heard of the campaign,” McWilliams says.
“But I have a couple who are so excited, they’ve even sent me a video for a consultation.”
For the campaign, McBride decided to focus on patients who might be too scared to go to the doctor, and who might want to avoid having an MRI.
The goal, he says, is to encourage people to get an MRI as soon as possible, and to make sure their doctor has enough time to get one.
The first step is to get a video out there.
In fact, McWilliams has been talking about getting a video of himself doing an MRI for more than a year.
He has been recording every time he gets an MRI at his home.
The videos are called ‘I Am A Patient’ videos, and they show him doing the MRI, as well as his doctor and the patient.
The patient then sees him performing the scan.
When it’s done, the patient receives an MRI report.
It’s important that patients receive this, McWilliam says.
They may be scared to be doing the scan themselves, and not have a doctor come and see them.
McWilliams and his colleagues at Johns of the Hopkins Medical School are also working on getting a TV ad out there for the campaign.
McAllister says he is confident that people will be excited to see the results of the MRI at home, and that it will be “a great tool for our patients to get to the point where they can get the MRI without any anxiety or fear.”
It’s also a great tool to show doctors that the patient is receiving care, and is willing to go ahead with the scan, even if it’s for a minor procedure.
And McAllisters goal is to have a video in the top 10 videos on YouTube by the end of the month.
“People are looking for a quick, easy, easy way to learn more about the MRI,” McAllistes says.
That’s what the Dr. Oz video campaign is about, and McAlliser says he’s got some ideas for the next one.
“I want to go a little bit further, maybe even show the patient what they’re doing in the MRI room,” McALLIS says.

There’s no such thing as an easy time of it.
But McAllis says that, for many people, they’re going to want to do it in a safe environment.
“There are a lot of myths and misinformation about MRI and MRI safety,” he says.
First, there’s the misconception that you can get an infection if you’re in the scanner.
That is simply not true, says McAllisin.
“That’s one of our biggest concerns, is the amount of blood and tissue that will get in the way of the needle and scanner.”
“You want to have as little blood as possible,” McNameis adds.
You also want to be careful to have enough blood circulating to keep the machine going.
If you don’t have enough, you can damage the needle, or damage the scanner itself.
